About us

AKMI (Association of Karnataka Microfinance Institutions) was established in 2007 to bring in better transparency and governance, client protection and ethical practices among the MFIs in Karnataka. It is a self regulatory authority with code of conduct for its members. AKMI has 28 MFI members as on 31st March 2018. AKMI is registered under Society Act 1960.
